THE VISION

The sketch-up images below show our initial design concept, the work will be done in stages. The design for each stage will be developed as we go along and updated in the home page blog.

Preliminary work -
skylights , guttering, down pipes.

Stage 1 - back yard
pool, deck, pergola, water feature, fire pit, external painting, new garden.

Stage 2 - initial interiors
kitchen and laundry, flooring, internal painting, curtains and blinds.

Stage 3 - front yard
repaving driveway and entry path, restructuring and replanting the garden.

Stage 4 - final interiors
refitting the bathrooms.

Front View - work to consist of re-paving driveway, level changes done with landscaping and re-directing the path to entry.

Lounge Room - consideration given to furnishing will make this room instantly more useable.  We are keen to include a fireplace.

View from Lounge Room, looking outside along a newly created deck to a new swimming pool in the backyard (the pool is a must have for us).

The kitchen will be fully renovated - it will clearly be a new intervention however we will ensure that it's kept simple and functional.  A couple of design changes will be relocating the fridge (to be integrated), opening up the kitchen bench to allow more spacial connection to the family room.

The kitchen flows into the laundry, finishes and joinery design will be carried through from the kitchen to integrate the two spaces.

One of the secondary bedrooms with an outlook to the pool. Will be freshened up with paint and refinishing of the timber flooring.

Second bathroom - new skylight, mosaic tiling, vanity and tap fittings.

Master bedroom - freshened up with paint and refinishing of the timber floor.

Looking out of the lounge across the new deck and pool. The pergola needs some minor work to keep the ravages of time at bay and refinishing, the new deck will be left to weather grey.

The new pool viewed from the sun lounge, new timber deck stepping down to granite tiled pool edge with 100mm down turn coping.

The new pool area looking back to the house, salt and pepper pebble lining to create light blue water, light colour heat reflecting paving, tiled horizon edge, sheer descent water feature.

View from the fire pit across the garden to the pool area. The bricks are the existing paving being recycled to form the circular floor and seat.

Overview of the back garden, the fire pit holds the space and focuses it over the garden and pool to the space and tree tops beyond.
